Ski-Doggle Networking Event
RMVCA hosts its invitational ski & networking event for RMVCA members and invited guests. The event was an incredible two days of skiing, dining and networking among a group of approximately 70 VC representatives, angel investors, service providers and sponsors. Held in Vail and Park City in 2017.
VC’s Unplugged is designed for entrepreneurs, service providers, angel investors and investors to have an opportunity to meet out-of-state venture capitalists and engage in informal conversations about funding opportunities within our region. The event, featuring nearly 150 guests, includes a panel of seasoned venture capitalists, great networking and a reception.
Get a front row seat to learn about innovative companies through creative and fast-paced ‘Shark Tank’ style presentations. Listen in as a group of visiting VCs provide candid feedback to the CEOs. The event also includes ample networking time to maximize opportunities to visit with seasoned venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs and key service providers.

CMO Days, Rock 'nRoll Nights: A Musician's Journey from Bar Rooms to Board Rooms.
The role of an entrepreneur requires passion, intelligence and a bit of luck. In this edition of Food for Thought, we welcome Reid Genauer, CMO of Magisto, a venture-backed player in the online video space. Reid has been working in startups since graduating from business school, but his entrepreneurial streak extends back to his college days when he co-founded the indy rock band, Strangefolk. He left that band in 2002 and later started his second band, Assembly of Dust, which is highly active today, even as he toils at Magisto. Over the course of his career, he has made a dozen records, collaborating with performers like Richie Havens, David Grisman and Keller Williams, as well as helping to raise $25MM for Magisto. We will examine how Reid handles these seemingly disparate efforts and how his day job informs and influences his moonlighting and vice-versa. He may even share a song or two.
